If you wish to have a chaperone present during an examination please ask. If you anticipate the need for a chaperone please mention this at the time you make your appointment in order that we can try to enable a suitable chaperone is available. Trained chaperones include clinical and non-medical staff and we always offer a same sex chaperone as the patient. If a chaperone is not available your appointment may be delayed or rebooked.
Your doctor will also ask for a chaperone where they consider it clinically appropriate.
