Dementia Carers Workshops

Dementia Carers Workshops

The next CASS Caring and Support Skills workshops will be running throughout November and focusing specifically on Dementia Carers. You may have registered Carers at your GP surgery supporting someone who is living with dementia but are not registered with CASS themselves. Providing Carers with opportunities to increase their knowledge or learn more about caring, can increase their confidence in the support network around them. Please share the information attached and below with Carers at your surgery:

Are you supporting someone living with the effects of dementia or memory loss and would like support in providing the best care for your loved one whilst balancing your own life? You can join CASS’s Caring and Support Skills Workshops specifically for Dementia Carers starting Wednesday 2nd November 2022, either in person or online. Research shows that 1 in 14 people over the age of 65 have dementia, which will increase to 1 in 6 in people aged over 80 and come 2025, it is predicted that over 1 million people will be living with dementia.  You will be able to access information and advice tailored to supporting you to increase knowledge and confidence around your health and wellbeing, community, support networks and the person you provide care for.
There will be one weekly session each week for 4 weeks over Wednesday 2nd  and 9th, Thursday 16th and Wednesday 23rd November from 10am – 12pm at the Medequip Centre (Tollgate Drive, Beaconside, Stafford ST16 3HS) or online between 2pm – 4pm every Wednesday in November. If you, or someone you know of, is interested in joining this workshop please contact our Carers Advice Line on 01785 606675.

Hear from Carers that have been on previous workshops:

We look forward to seeing you soon
